Having once been infested with bed bugs myself, I know that the first thing one will want to do is find out the best possible method on getting rid of them, and fast! I personally found a small infestation a few months after visiting a motel and bringing them home with me unknowingly. Here’s what I noticed and how I ended up getting rid of them with some extremely powerful bed bug spray. But I start wondering is bed bug spray dangerous for my health?
The one thing I want to mention is that I didn’t notice anything until a few months after I returned back home from a vacation. Now because it was so long before I noticed, these bugs had enough time to reproduce and infest a part of my mattress in which I never thought would be vulnerable.
After waking up many mornings a few months later with what looked like a rash on my shoulder area, I began to wonder what could possibly be causing this while I sleep. The funny thing was that it was only on my left shoulder and I would see it one morning and it would heal up and then I would see the exact same thing a couple days later. I of course went to my Doctor and he hinted towards a bed bug problem after confirming it was in fact insect bites.
The first thing I did after finding this information was to isolate the infestation in my mattress. Sure enough, under the mattress(no idea how they got there) I found the dark area in which they had been gathering for the past few months. So what did I use to kill them?
I wanted to make sure I didn’t spray any insecticide as it would be potentially poisonous to me while sleeping, so I found some bed bug spray online and it actually worked like a charm. A few best bed bugs treatment and a thorough cleaning got rid of them for good. I’m now happy to say i’m bed bug free!
