When we are considering buying a new home, renovating an existing one before moving in, or we simply want to make improvements on our present homes; one of the things that we might want to check are the sizes of doors.
Having a wrong sized door may hurt our home value, both aesthetically and physically! Althogh the door design is important, it is also good idea to have doors that at least the appropriate standard door dimensions.
Every member of the family should be able to walk through the doors without a hitch.

Although each homes will have different kinds of doors, there are Standard Door Dimensions that are typically used to measure the minimum door size that is applicable to most homes.
It might not necesarry to to exactly measure each door that we pass through, but as general rule the door dimensions for house entryway should be approximately 24 inches wide and 6 feet and 8 inches in height.
For majority of people, these dimensions will most definitely work. Bathroom doors on the other hand usually give more focus on the width rather than the height, depending on the bathroom size.
Normally, these door measurement would be 5 feet by 8 feet.
On the other hand, if we are not so selective about the doors that are found in our homes, the most important thing is that everyone in the household will be comfortable and at ease when they are passing through the doors.

A garage door, it’s usual measurement is 8×7 feet up to 8×16 feet. However, these sizes are only ideal for small cars like sedans. If we have a bigger car, hiring a professional might be a good idea to determine the actual door size that can accomodate that car.
It’s also a good idea to have a bigger garage door installed, so that when we decide to purchase larger vehicles like trucks and SUVs, our garage will be ready for them.
